My Success Story

My alarm clock went off at 5.30 on the 1st of November 2010. My first thoughts were "Cathy, you're nuts. Why did you decide to commit yourself to a100 day Core Challenge, You'll never do it." As a physiotherapist I have the knowledge to strengthen my core and had been very frustrated for years being unable to do exercise without aggravating my neck, shoulder, and back pain. Chronic headaches interfered with my ability to function optimally and I lived in fear of hurting myself constantly. One day a colleague said to me "Have you tried Mastermoves? It will strengthen your core which you know will help your symptoms." Having given up Tennis, and many other summer outdoor activities, I was willing to try anything. I was tired of hiding the debilitating pain which was making me unhappy and was ruining my social life.

What attracted me to Mastermoves was its simplicity, effectiveness and portability. The Core Challenge and "The Success Log' with the daily positive words, gave me the reason, the tools and support to reach my goals and persevere. As a Mum, Wife, Speaker, and Physiotherapist, I had to juggle my priorities and overcome bad habits. For example, managing prolonged periods of commitments, while trying to have a balanced lifestyle, eating unhealthy foods and not having quality sleeps. I knew this was not the life I wanted.
My British upbringing gave me the courage to take the first step. Initially I was sceptical that 15 minutes in the morning and evening using Mastermoves and The Core Challenge would make a difference so quickly. I was thrilled after 7 weeks that friends, family and clients noticed that I had more energy and vitality. Gradually I could see changes in my waist, and my trousers were starting to feel looser in the hips. My headaches had diminished from weekly to once a month.

After completing The Core Challenge, I lost 12 pounds and 2 inches off my waist. Generally people have commented that I look more radiant and happy. I love the fact that I can wear size 6 in clothes. Something I have not done for 15 years. I can hike for 4 hours with my family and dog again. My usual aches and pains have disappeared and I love being able to do high energy dance routines. I feel more flexible, stronger, and my sleep and digestion have improved. Mentally, friends have commented that I am high spirited but at same time grounded and calmer. I feel a deeper connection to myself and others around me with a sense of harmony. I am encouraging my clients and friends to do The Core Challenge so that they can enjoy a better quality and fun life.
